1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes the rules and restrictions that apply to your use of the Marketio platform. By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation.
2. Prohibited Uses
2.1 Spam and Unsolicited Communications
- Sending bulk unsolicited emails in violation of CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, or any applicable anti-spam legislation
- Disguising the origin of messages or impersonating another person or entity
2.2 Harassment and Harm
- Using the Services to harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm any individual
- Targeting individuals based on protected characteristics
2.3 Illegal Activity
- Using the Services for any purpose that violates applicable law or regulation
- Processing data without legal basis or in violation of GDPR, CCPA, or other data protection laws
- Engaging in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
2.4 Platform Abuse
- Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services
- Overloading, flooding, or otherwise disrupting the Services
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any component of the Services
3. Responsible AI Use
When using Marketio’s AI agent features, you are responsible for the outputs and actions taken on your behalf. You agree to: review AI-generated content before sending; maintain proper oversight of agent activity via your dashboard; comply with applicable AI and data regulations; and not attempt to manipulate AI agents to produce harmful or deceptive content.
4. Data Handling Responsibilities
As a Marketio customer, you are responsible for the quality, legality, and appropriateness of all data you upload and process, including:
- Ensuring you have a lawful basis for contacting and processing data about prospects
- Honouring opt-out and unsubscribe requests promptly
- Maintaining accurate suppression lists
- Complying with all applicable data protection and privacy regulations
5. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in a warning and required remediation, temporary account suspension, permanent account termination, or reporting to relevant authorities. We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violations at our sole discretion.
